NHS Lanarkshire is considering the fit out of patient bedrooms in the new Monkland's Hospital. A screen may be required in each single patient bedroom throughout the hospital and other areas yet to be defined. Within the single patient bedroom, the display screen will need to provide a number of features and functionalities that are easily accessed by a number of different user types such as patients, clinicians, support staff etc. It should be made clear how this access is achieved for each anticipated user type. NHS Lanarkshire is considering the fit out of patient bedrooms in the new Monkland's Hospital. A screen may be required in each single patient bedroom throughout the hospital and other areas yet to be defined. Within the single patient bedroom, the display screen will need to provide a number of features and functionalities that are easily accessed by a number of different user types such as patients, clinicians, support staff etc. Please describe in your email how this access is achieved for each anticipated user type. We appreciate that this will require access to and integration with a number of different systems, so please be clear in your email what systems you can provide as part of the overall solution and what systems they require access to for integration and how they will achieve the required integration. It is anticipated that the display screen will be wall mounted and sized accordingly for ease of viewing from the opposite side of the room, although we may wish to use handheld options. In your email please detail proposed screen sizes. Please describe the solutions you use to ensure that the appropriate organism 'kill' rate is achieved for decontamination; alternatively, please advise if there is a potential for the system to be encased. Some of the key features and functionalities are listed below, however can you please fully detail all the capabilities for your solution. 1. Integrated educational/public health information 2. High definition LCD technology 3. Ability to provide two-way communication voice & data 4. Patent entertainment 6. Patient record retrieval 8. Use as art 9. Menu pick 10. Patient ability to access internet and electronic mail 11. Ability to verify and document patient comprehension of the health information provided 12. Patient Discharge Lounge 13.
