Notice Title
Re-Imagining Care
Notice Description
Are you committed to innovative and progressive care and support for people across their life course and looking for a future strategic Local Authority partner? If so, we would like you to share your ideas and experience with Walsall Council and ICB and to join the journey planning and re-imagining care and support of the future. The Borough of Walsall is ambitious about what and how it delivers services and supports its residents; there is a substantial economic investment in Walsall of circa PS1bn planned over the next 10 years in terms of care and support services across a range of people services commissioned by the Local Authority, Health Service and potentially other partners. Walsall Council and ICB is planning a new Single Framework to commission a range of services against outcomes and a set of 'I and We' Statements produced with service users and their families, providers, partners and citizens of Walsall. As well as being outcomes focussed, this approach is ambitious about bringing new partners and organisation to Walsall who can help build and shape services to support our residents to remain living healthily and independently in the community. It will offer a more flexible and innovative approach to thinking about how different services may be delivered. This is an initial Prior Information Notice to all providers (existing and potential) to signal the direction of travel towards an outcome-driven approach for all key People services (statutory or non-statutory) commissioned from April 2024 onwards. Our new Framework will be an Open Framework and tender processes to apply for the Framework will be consolidated and streamlined to make it easier for providers to apply once to work on behalf of Walsall Council and ICB. If this interests you, please contact AdultSocialCareCommissioning@walsall.gov.uk with your contact details for a further conversation.
