Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Newham is initiating the procurement process for a Supporting Vulnerable Adults Dynamic Purchasing Vehicle (DPV) in the Health and social work services category. The procurement involves the establishment of a DPV for Supported Living Services, catering to various needs such as mental health, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. The estimated value for Category 1 of the DPV is £266,777,101 across a 10-year period. The Authority will conduct the procurement in stages, with the first category expected to be processed in 2023 onwards. The tender period ends on July 10, 2023, and the award period starts the same day.

This tender opportunity presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in providing services for vulnerable adults, particularly in the areas of supported living, social work, and healthcare. Organisations or consortia with experience in supporting vulnerable populations are encouraged to apply for admission onto the DPV. With a total estimated value of nearly £1 billion across the lifetime of the DPV, successful applicants can secure long-term contracts with the London Borough of Newham, a regional authority focused on providing essential services to the community. The tender process will be conducted openly via the Council's e-tendering portal Fusion, with the Contract Notice expected to be published in early February 2023.
