0989 Mixed Food and Green Waste Treatment Services
Notice Description
Essex County Council (ECC) are seeking to procure Bio-waste Treatment Services for the county of Essex. The contract will have the following lots: Lot 1: Treatment of Mixed Food and Green Waste - 20,000 tonnes per annum Lot 2: Treatment of Mixed Food and Green Waste - 14,000 tonnes per annum The contract is for receipt and treatment of mixed food and green waste from ECC; and any other Authority approved source, in accordance with all relevant legislation to produce a marketable end product which meets compost PAS 100/Quality Protocol standards (as may be amended from time to time) or equivalent for the County of Essex. The Contractor for Lot 1 will be provided with Guaranteed Minimum Tonnage (GMT) equivalent to 70% of their awarded tonnage in each Contract Year. The Contractor for Lot 2 will be provided with Guaranteed Minimum Tonnage (GMT) equivalent to 70% of their awarded tonnage in Contract year 1, with subsequent years carrying a 0% GMT.
Lot Information
Lot 1: Treatment of Mixed Food and Green Waste - ECC - 20,000 tonnes per annum
The contract is for receipt and treatment of mixed food and green waste from ECC; and any other Authority approved source, in accordance with all relevant legislation to produce a marketable end product which meets compost PAS 100/Quality Protocol standards (as may be amended from time to time) or equivalent for the County of Essex. The Contractor for Lot 1 will be provided with Guaranteed Minimum Tonnage (GMT) equivalent to 70% of their awarded tonnage in each Contract Year.
Renewal: The contract shall have the option to extend for a further 12 months
