Summary of the contracting process

National Highways is planning to commence a market consultation process for the Integrated Delivery Framework (IDF). This initiative aims to understand marketplace limitations and gather suggestions to shape the Commercial and Procurement Strategy and Contract Documents. Market engagement activities will commence on 15th February 2023 in Birmingham Millennium Point Hotel, running every Wednesday until 29th March 2023. This procurement process falls under the construction works category with an estimated value between £20-30 billion, lasting approximately 10 years.

The IDF tender presents significant opportunities for contractors and consultants looking to support National Highways in its Roads Investment Programme. The framework is expected to cover design and construction works for renewal and enhancement schemes across the UK. Businesses adept in construction structures, site preparation, engineering works, and construction project management are well-suited to participate in this planned procurement process.
