Notice Description
Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System for Domiciliary Care Services in Sefton 2023 - 2033. Sefton Council wishes to set up a Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System (PDPS) for the provision of Care at Home Services. This PDPS is initially being established for the following lot listed below under the title Initial Lots. It is the Council's intention to establish additional lots during the lifetime of the PDPS. The potential lots are also listed below (no timeframes for the potential lots have been determined): Initial Lots * Lot 1 (a) = Care at Home Services - Tier 1 Providers in Locality 1 * Lot 1 (b) = Care at Home Services - Tier 1 Providers in Locality 2 * Lot 1 (c) = Care at Home Services - Tier 1 Providers in Locality 3 * Lot 2 = Care at Home Services - Tier 2 Providers (non-locality specific) Potential Lots * Lot 3 = Care at Home Services to support Children and their Family / Carers * Lot 4 = Continuing Healthcare packages * Lot 5 = End of Life Care packages * Lot 6 = Sitting Services (including support / respite for Carers) * Lot 7 = Reablement Services * Lot 8 = Winter Pressures / Hospital Discharge Services * Lot 9 = Community Support for People with Mental Health Conditions / Learning Disabilities * Lot 10 = Extra Care Housing Services a) Tier 1 contracts for specific localities will be awarded to successful bidders. These contracts will be for a period of three years. However, the Council, at its sole discretion, may extend the period for up to two years (either in a single extension, annual (12 month) extensions or separate extensions for periods that in total amount to a maximum two-year extension period from the expiry of the initial three-year contract period).

Domiciliary Care Services - Tier 1 Providers in Locality 1
Domiciliary Care Tier 1 provider Locality 1, 3 years with the option to extend for 2 x 12 months
Options: 2 x 12 months after 36 or 48 months , up to a maximum of 5 years for Lot 1a.
Renewal: Either after 36 months, 48 months or 60 months depending on options being taken.
Domiciliary Care Services - Tier 1 Providers in Locality 2Domiciliary Care Tier 1 provider Locality 2, 3 years with the option to extend for 2 x 12 months
Options: 2 x 12 months after 36 or 48 months , up to a maximum of 5 years for Lot 1b.
Renewal: Either after 36 months, 48 months or 60 months depending on options being taken.

However, the Council, at its sole discretion, may extend the period for up to two years (either in a single extension, annual (12 month) extensions or separate extensions for periods that in total amount to a maximum two-year extension period from the expiry of the initial three-year contract period).
Options: There are 2 12 month options for the contract awarded for Lot 1a following the 3 year core period of contract

Tier 1 contracts for specific localities will be awarded to successful bidders. These contracts will be for a period of three years.
