Patient Transport Hub to NHS Bristol North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board
Notice Description
NHS Bristol North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board are seeking the provision of Patient Transport Hub (PTH). The Patient Transport Hub promotes access to healthcare provision through an NHS funded transport service for those patients registered with a GP in NHS Bristol North Somerset and/or South Gloucestershire who meet the eligibility criteria as set down by NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). Eligibility criteria includes vulnerable people by reason of mental health or learning disability, children, and eligible escorts. The role of the PTH Provider is to liaise with patients/carers and subject to eligibility criteria book transport for qualifying patients and or signpost them to alternative modes of transport. Full details including specification, activity, scope and requirements can be found within the procurement documentation. The Commissioner has a budget of PS400,000 per annum. The total contract value for the 5-year Contract is PS2,000,000. At the end of the initial contract term the Commissioners will have an extension option for any number of periods up to a further 2 years available which will be awarded at their discretion, giving a maximum possible contract value of PS2,800,000 over 7 years if the full contract term is fulfilled. A separate procurement is being undertaken for Non Emergency Transport Services against the following lots: Lot 1 - Hemodialysis Car Service and Lot 2 - Planned Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services. Bidders intending to bid against Lot 1 and 2 (as described above) must do so against the separate Contract Notice and Invitation to Tender that is has been released. This procurement is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners.
