Notice Description
This is a Prior Information Notice for Prior Information Only. NHS South East London Integrated Care Board (NHS SEL ICB) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) and the completion of a Market Engagement Questionnaire from all suitable providers who are capable of delivering the required Community Anticoagulation Services in the London Borough of Lewisham or those who wish to provide feedback on the proposed opportunity. The annual contract value is expected to be around PS324,610 per annum. This translates to a minimum 3-year contract value of PS973,830 and a maximum 5-year contract value of PS1,623,050. No supplier selection or supplier preference is implied. Any information provided about the requirement and procurement process to be followed is indicative only, and subject to change/confirmation. Potential responders will not be prejudiced in this or any future procurement processes by either responding or not responding to this soft market engagement exercise. Interested providers are asked to register an account on the ProContract portal and, once registered and logged in, express their interest and access the Market Engagement Questionnaire and accompanying documents from the Expression of Interest Advert. The questionnaire and accompanying Appendix 1 (draft Service Specification), can be downloaded via the portal and the questionnaire must be completed, uploaded and submitted via the portal messaging facility no later than 12.00 (noon) on 7th April 2023. Any communications or clarification questions about this contract opportunity must be submitted be via the messaging facility for this project. This Market Engagement process is being managed by the Procurement & Contracting Hub (hosted by NHS North East London) on behalf of NHS South East London.

Service Summary Lewisham has a local acute anticoagulation service at University Hospital Lewisham, which manages complex/unstable patients. A community anticoagulation service has been in operation seeing patients stable on the oral anticoagulant warfarin. The requirement of a community anticoagulation service is being amended to reflect innovation and changes to anticoagulation therapy since an initial service had launched. A newly procured Community Anticoagulation Service is to provide a clinic and housebound service to Lewisham residents which monitors warfarin, initiates Direct Oral Anticoagulants and switch patients between anticoagulants as clinically appropriate, and as per specification, working closely with healthcare providers across Primary and Secondary care in Lewisham. Renewal: It is anticipated that the contract it will run for a minimum of 3 years, with the possibility further extensions for a total of 2 years. Maximum contact duration of 5 years.
