Notice Title
Climate Action Fund - Learning & Support Partners
Notice Description
The National Lottery Community Fund is seeking to commission a supplier(s) to facilitate and deliver support and learning services across the Climate Action Fund grantholders. The three strands are based on what we believe require distinct activities, skills and expertise to deliver, but we recognise their interdependent relationship and that they do not sit in isolation from each other. It will be down to the suppler(s) who bid for the work as to how they feel they can best deliver the needs of the ITT. We anticipate that the first strand (Enable) is the key/integral part of the overall delivery of the contract, from which the other two strands (Inform and Inspire) will 'hang'. * ENABLE: Build the capacity of CAF grant holders to undertake more impactful community-led climate action. * INFORM: Generate and facilitate evidence and learning about community-led climate action which will support grant holders and progress towards the CAF vision. * INSPIRE: Create and curate a collective voice to inspire and encourage more and more communities across the UK to take climate action. Please note, this note, this Prior Information Notice may not result in a future procurement.
Lot Information
Lot 1
The National Lottery Community Fund ("the Fund") is seeking to procure a suitable supplier to facilitate and deliver support and learning across the Climate Action Fund ("CAF") grantees, between 2024-2030 (7-year contract). The contract shall be for an initial four years with an option to extend for three periods of up to 12 months each. The Climate Action Fund is a 10-year PS100m commitment (2020-2030 ) to support communities across the UK to take action on climate. CAF aims to deliver community-led climate action to those who need it most. Its vision is to 'empower and inspire people in local communities across the UK to take positive action on the climate and ecological emergencies'. These communities will demonstrate what is possible when people take the lead in tackling climate change, helping those around them to thrive, improving equity and responding to intersectional issues. They work together, share their learning and are active participants in a broader movement of change. CAF aims to support projects that will have a legacy beyond our funding and that, where relevant, are able to point towards longer-term systemic change. The programme also aims to encourage and inspire more and more people across the UK via the funded projects and the activities and work they deliver, to take climate action in their own communities and providing them with the tools to do so. The procured supplier(s) will aim to: 1. To enable the funded projects to network and collaborate with one another, help them to identify ways in which to share their activities and learning, both individually and collectively, and engage, inspire and enable other communities to play their part . The successful supplier(s) will work with the projects to build their skills, capacity and knowledge to enable them to deliver impactful community led-climate action. 2. To work closely with the projects to generate and facilitate evidence about community-led action. We hope evidence generated from the programme will remove barriers, create opportunities for cross sector collaboration and unlock further investment for community-led climate action. 3. To support projects to develop an ambitious, creative and strategic programme of communications which will provide inspiration to further community-led acclimate action. This strand of work will also involve targeted design and dissemination of learning and evidence generated by the programme about community-led climate action to reach grant holders and wider audiences. This contract will interest organisations with expertise (including but not limited to) such as, an understanding of the VCSE including the environment sector and community-led climate action, research, behaviour change science, facilitation and networking, communication including narrative and creative content development, audience segmentation and engagement. The Fund will welcome tenders from individual organisations or, more likely, partnerships that can collectively demonstrate their ability to project manage, develop and carry out appropriate approaches to the work.
