IA2801 Framework Agreement for the Provision of the Transportation and Processing of Food Waste
Notice Description
To provide Treatment site(s) for the processing of food waste collected by or on behalf of Staffordshire County Council (SCC), Newcastle Under Lyme Borough Council (NULBC), and subsequently other Waste Collection authorities in Staffordshire.
Lot Information
Transfer and Treatment of Bulked Food Waste
Lot 1 is for a service to collect, transfer and treat bulked Food Waste from the Customer's Knutton Lane Depot at Knutton Lane, Newcastle under Lyme (the Knutton Lane Depot). It is possible that one or more of the other SCC WCAs will undertake their own separate kerbside Food Waste collections in the future, and that additional Food Waste could then also be delivered into the Knutton Lane Depot, for subsequent collection, transfer and treatment as part of Lot 1. The Customer for Lot 1 will be Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council (NuL).
Options: The Agreement term will be from 1st July 2023 to 30th June 2025, with an additional option to extend by 1st July 2025 to 31st June 2027.
Renewal: The Agreement term will be from 1st July 2023 to 30th June 2025, with an additional option to extend by 1st July 2025 to 31st June 2027.
Treatment Facilities to Treat Bulked Food WasteLot 2 is for the provision of Treatment Facilities to treat Food Waste (collected by one or more of SCC WCAs) for SCC that may in the future be delivered to the Treatment Facilities by or on behalf of SCC. Lot 2 establishes a broad geographic spread of Treatment Facilities to which Food Waste can be delivered by or on behalf of SCC. SCC, acting as the Customer for Lot 2, may call off from the Framework Agreement and enter into Contract(s) for the treatment of Food Waste collected by one or more of the SCC WCAs. Selection of the most appropriate Treatment Facility and the associated Supplier will be made by SCC in accordance with the Award Criteria detailed in Schedule 2 of the Framework Agreement. The delivery to a Treatment Facility of Food Waste to be treated under Lot 2 will be subject to separate contractual arrangements that do not form part of this Framework Agreement.
Options: The Agreement term will be from 1st July 2023 to 30th June 2025, with an additional option to extend by 1st July 2025 to 31st June 2027.
