The provider(s) will be expected to provide: - tailored services and support arrangements to meet people's individual needs and aspirations, - flexible operating times, supporting the need for respite, supporting carers to have a break at a time to suit them, - a range of stimulating activities for older people to participate in, including outreach facilities with well connected links with community-based resources, - appropriately skilled staff to care for people with critical/complex needs including challenging behaviour, ensuring for example that all individuals with dementia are supported through the pathway, - assistance to access an infrastructure of professional support and services, - transport to and from the day centre where there is an assessed need, - signposting to other services where appropriate.
