***This advert is for market engagement only***<br/><br/>NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care board intends to undertake a procurement process for the provision of wheelchair Services (within the Kent and Medway region) providing buggies, manual and powered wheelchairs, pressure relieving cushions and custom-made seating systems to meet the clinical needs of children, young people and adults with a long term (over six months) disability or illness to enable them to become independently mobile.<br/><br/>The commissioner has published this Prior Information Notice to support market engagement only at this stage.

The Kent and Medway Wheelchair Service provides buggies, manual and powered wheelchairs, pressure relieving cushions and custom-made seating systems to meet the clinical needs of children, young people and adults with a long term (over six months) disability or illness to enable them to become independently mobile. Referrals into the service come from any registered health care professional or existing wheelchair service users can self-refer.
The contract duration is expected to be 5 years with up to a 2-year extension option.
The indicative total contract value (over 7 years) against anticipated activity trajectories is expected to be approximately PS39million.
The commissioner has published this Prior Information Notice to support pre-market engagement only at this stage.
The objective of this engagement is to help the commissioner finalise the financial model, service model and procurement strategy.
Providers are invited to attend a virtual market engagement event which will focus on the service specification/requirements, financial model and an overview of the procurement process. The event is scheduled for 30th June 2023 at 10am. Providers will also be invited to schedule 1:1 meetings with the commissioner following this event to further discuss financial model, service model and procurement strategy. Further event details will be communicated to registered providers.
Providers are asked to complete a short questionnaire as part of the registration process.
Please note, this PIN relates to services within the scope of Schedule 3 thereto (Social and Other Specific Services). The Commissioner(s) and AGCSU are, therefore, bound only by those parts of the Regulations applying to Schedule 3 services (also known as the "Light Touch Regime"). The Commissioner does not bind itself to commencing or running any public procurement procedure further to, or as a result of, this market engagement. Any subsequent procurement, if undertaken, will be commenced byway of a separate call for competition via a relevant notice published in Find aTender. Any and all information/documents are draft and subject to change.
