Notice Description
In Cumbria the term extra care housing is used to describe housing developments that comprise self-contained homes with design features and support services to enable people to self-care and continue to live independently. Whilst they are primarily for older people some may support younger people with disabilities. The extra in extra care housing is generally recognised to be access to care services that can Respond quickly to residents changing needs Provide unplanned care as and when required in addition to planned care Provide an emergency response The tender is for a framework to provide care and support services within Cumbria's Existing Extra Care Housing schemes and future developments. This is a flexible framework which will allow new entrants to gain access every three months or as often as required by the Framework Users.

It will be continually advertised throughout the length of the Framework and providers may bid at any stage. Evaluations will take place every 3 months UNLESS there is an urgent requirement to evaluate sooner. Call off will be via min-competition or depending on the circumstances pertaining to new build development, direct call off. In order to gain access to the framework you MUST score 60 percent or above in the Quality section. Cumberland Council is fully supportive of all aspects of diversity including ethnicity, race, religion, age, disability and sexual orientation. In this respect Cumberland Council welcomes expressions of interest from ethnic minority, disabled and other diverse business communities and the voluntary sector. Economic operators are therefore required to fully comply with all the statutory obligations applicable legislation and there will be a requirement to participate in the Authority's supplier audits on all aspects of diversity. The Contracting Authority expressly reserves the right; Not to award any contract as a result of the procurement process commenced by publication of this notice and To make whatever changes it may see fit to the content and structure of the tendering competition; and in no circumstances will the Contracting Authority be liable for any costs incurred by the candidates.",
