Notice Description
The work will provide front line regulatory support to ONR on the subject of nuclear graphite core brick cracking in AGRs. The scope of the contract addresses ONR's need to access independent experts who can consider the basis of the licensee's safety case claims and test them by applying independent scientific and mathematical reasoning.

Lot 1
Proposed award of contract via single tender negotiation with a service provider without a call for competition.
Options: Proposed 2 year contract with an option to extend for a further 4 years in annual increments, subject to agreement of both parties. i.e 2+1+1+1+1. The potential total contract duration is therefore 6 years
Procurement Information
Using Regulation 32 (2) (b) (ii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, ONR propose to offer a contract in the belief that no reasonable alternative or substitutive exists. The proposed Service Provider has the unique expertise and independence required to fulfill the complete scope of service requirements in the absence of any credible competition in the marketplace.
