Notice Information
Notice Title
Pectus Surgery for Adults and Children (centre(s) located in the North of England)
Notice Description
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU), on behalf of NHS England (referred to as the Commissioner), is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to respond to this invitation to tender Pectus Surgery for Adults and Children. The key objective of the Procurement is to commission a provider located in the north of England (to include NHS England North West and North East and Yorkshire Regions) for adult and paediatric pectus surgery in line with interim urgent commissioning policy statement: pectus surgery for pectus excavatum deformities resulting in very severe physiological symptoms (all ages) [URN 2256].
Lot Information
Lot 1
Pectus surgery is recommended to be available as a routine commissioning treatment option for patients of all ages with pectus excavatum resulting in very severe physiological symptoms. NHS England has carefully reviewed the evidence to treat PE in patients with very severe physiological symptoms with pectus surgery and are now seeking to commission a centre to treat adults and children. Given the configuration of providers in the North of England, the Commissioner welcomes joint bids that span adult and paediatric services or bids led by either (a) an adult provider that describes how paediatric input to the service will be secured or (b) a paediatric provider that describes how adult input to the service will be secured. The duration of this contract will be for a period of 3 years with the Commissioner having the option to extend the Contract for up to a further 2 years. Providers wishing to be considered for the delivery of these services will need to respond to the provider selection documentation and submit responses prior to the deadline stated in this notice. The ITT documentation including a questionnaire is available through the Atamis (Health Family) portal: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome. The reference is C191433 and the closing date for completed ITT responses is 12pm, midday on Tuesday 22nd August 2023. There will also be an opportunity to attend a market engagement event via Microsoft Teams at 10:00am on Tuesday 8th August 2023. If you would like to participate in this event, please email josselin.canevet@nhs.net by Monday 7th August 2023. All slides and questions and responses will be made available to all bidders following the event.
