Northamptonshire Children's Trust - Provision of Supported Accommodation and Support Hours for Young People aged 16 to 21
Notice Description
Northamptonshire Children's Trust (hereafter referred to as the "Children's Trust") wishes to invite Tender Responses for the supply of services in respect of this requirement. This specification covers providing Supported Accommodation for children in care and care leavers aged 16 to 21, for Northamptonshire, including, where required, out of county homes. It excludes provision delivered by the Northamptonshire Children's Trust own provision or those already contracted under separate service contracts.
Lot Information
Lot 1 - Supported Accommodation for 16 and 17 year-olds (must be registered with Ofsted)
Lot 1 - Supported Accommodation for 16 and 17 year-olds (must be registered with Ofsted) * Categories 1.1 (Solo or shared) -Supported accommodation (solo or shared, 24/7 staffed, with variable 1:1 direct work) * Category 1.2 - Accommodation for 16 and 17 years-old who present as homeless * Category 1.3 - Training Accommodation (for 17 years-old only, solo flats or shared accommodation, with minimum 2 hours per week of floating support, working towards independence)
Lot 2 - Supported Accommodation for 18 to 21 year-oldsLot 2 - Supported Accommodation for 18 to 21 year-olds * Category 2.1 Housing with support (24/7 staffed, solo or shared, with variable 1:1 direct work) * Category 2.2 Training Accommodation (solo flats or shared accommodation, with minimum 2 hours per week of floating support, working towards independence)
Lot 3 - Additional Support HoursLot 3 - Additional Support hours * Category 3.1 Day support * Category 3.2 Night support

The primary role of young people's supported accommodation is to prepare our young people for independence and adulthood. Where each young person starts on this journey will be different and the rate at which they move through this journey will vary but our Supported Accommodation providers and their staff, through their support, will proactively work with our care leavers to ensure successful transition to adulthood where they will thrive. Services that will be purchased by the Children's Trust will be individualised packages to meet the needs of our care leavers so that they are supported to successfully move onto adulthood and independence. The Children's Trust is setting up a Framework Agreement for the Provision of Supported Accommodation and Supported Hours for Young People aged 16 to 21 for an initial period of 50 months, with an option to extend for 36 months, making 86 months in total. Services will be categorised by the following Lots that are described further in the specification: * Lot 1 - Supported Accommodation for 16 and 17 year-olds (must be registered with Ofsted) * Lot 2 - Supported Accommodation for 18 to 21 year-olds * Lot 3 - Additional Support Hours The Light Touch Regime (LTR) applies to the Services under this Framework Agreement, as per Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
