Summary of the contracting process

Transport for London (TfL) is undertaking the procurement of services for the Legible London map-based on-street signage programme. This involves the manufacture, supply, installation, and maintenance of wayfinding totems. The procurement is structured as a selective, restricted procedure for a single-supplier framework, beginning in August 2024 with an initial term of two years and an optional extension of up to two additional years. This framework agreement will cater to entities such as the Greater London Authority, its subsidiaries, other functional bodies, and any of the London Boroughs. Key deadlines include the tender submission on 10th November 2023.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses engaged in the manufacture, installation, and maintenance of signage, street furniture, and related services. The selected supplier stands to benefit from a long-term association with TfL, emphasising technical quality and competitive pricing. SMEs involved in pedestrian way constructions and the production of permanent message signs and other on-street wayfinding solutions are particularly well-suited to participate in this competitive process, which promises steady work and significant scope for business growth within the Greater London area.
