Defence Business Services (DBS) uses the Disclosure & Barring Service (D&BS) to request Criminal Record Checks on Civilians & Crown Servants in England and Wales. To improve the existing D&BS 'end to end' process for service personnel and volunteers the provision of a digitised solution which will utilise an e-broker service is being sought to replace the current paper-based application process. There are roughly 16,000 checks requested per year. The checks should be carried out within 48 hours of receipt of tasking.
Renewal: Initial 12 month period with monthly renewals at the Authority's discretion.
