Notice Description

This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) to inform potential bidder that the BSO Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), intends to issue a tender to award a new Framework for the supply and installation of Commercial Catering Equipment, Associated Consumables and Software Interface on behalf of the HSCNI. The scope of this Tender is to provide a range of commercial catering equipment for use in high output catering areas, primarily in hospital and residential kitchens and canteens. The equipment includes but is not limited to cookware, dishwashing, food preparation and serving, refrigeration and storage, food waste disposers and blenders. PaLS request that interested suppliers complete the market questionnaire attached to this PIN, an explanatory document is also attached to assist you. Any submission received in response to this exercise will not constitute any contractual agreement between the respondent and the Contracting Authority. All correspondence in relation to this market engagement exercise will be communicated via the secure eTendersNI messaging portal. Suppliers will be required to return answers to the questionnaire and relating Appendix 1 and 2 and any comments no later than 15.00 on Friday 9th February 2024. All information provided in this exercise will be treated in confidence, non-participation in this market engagement process does not preclude any suppliers from participating in the procurement tendering process.

Lot Information

Cookware

The equipment required in this Lot includes but not restricted to boiling pans, Bain Marie servers, Bratt pans, deep fat fryers, hobs, salamander grills, microwaves and ovens. This equipment may be gas, electrical, steam or a combination and installed to a mains supply, including water supply and drainage.

Dishwashers

The equipment required in this section includes under-counter, conveyor and pass-through dishwashers as well as commercial food waste disposers and macerators. The equipment may be stand alone or part of the working area which includes 'dirty' and 'clean' benching. This 'dirty' and 'clean' benching may incorporate disposal and storage areas. This equipment required installation to mains electricity, drainage and water supply.

Refrigeration

The equipment required in this section includes fridges, freezers and ice makers. This equipment may be freestanding or integrated. This equipment includes upright and under-counter models. This equipment may be plug-in or require installation to mains electrical supply.

Server Units

The equipment required in this section includes food regeneration and food transportation trolleys. The equipment included in this section may require installation to mains electricity supply or have the facility to be docked to a mains supply.

Water Boilers

The equipment required in this section includes counter-top and wall mounted water boilers. There may be a requirement to supply water boilers which dispense both hot and cold water. The equipment requires installation to mains electricity and water supply.

Blenders

The equipment required in this section includes stick blenders, vertical cutters and Vegetable Preparation Machines. The equipment requires installation to mains electricity.
