Scallop "Disco" Potting: an at-scale regional pilot
Notice Description
The aim of the project is to:<br/>1. provide new information on scallop stocks densities and structure in the inshore area which is currently limited (all catches, sizes, measured and aged).<br/>2. investigate the potential impacts of scallop potting in currently unfished areas.<br/>3. ascertain whether scallop potting presents an overexploitation risk to crabs, lobsters, and scallops.<br/>4. review the potential wider impacts (bycatch/discards) of using light in scallop pots.
