Housing 21 wishes to use this PIN to attract experienced and capable providers that provide Digital Emergency Call and Resident Communications Systems, to join in a market engagement exercise. The engagement exercise objective is to create opportunity to share equipment examples and innovation in this area with a view to assisting Housing 21 to progress its specification to a concluding form to be used in a future procurement . Housing 21 are excited about the future innovation of Digital Emergency Call and Resident Communications Systems-hence this market engagement exercise System minimum requirement examples Housing 21 are interested in include residents accessing a digital capability to exchange communication functionalities that can both enhance the experience of residents and staff Key functions required include the following : Compatibility with digital Alarm Receiving Centres that are compatible to a BS 8521/2 standard; Simultaneous calls; Sub 5 second call connection time to the ARC; Pendant network should offer zoning for a more accurate location; Door entry panel to the main entrance to provide 2-way audio to the resident apartment speech units and to the Scheme Manager's phone; An interlink to the existing Part 6 domestic fire detection as well as the fire panel; A central management system is required to enable the Scheme Manager to manage the system onsite; and Peripheral devices such as activity monitors, bed sensors.
