The NECS Medicines Optimisation team will continue to deliver the following services to support the Public Health team in the management of these contracts. Commissioned Services and In-House Services: Pharmaceutical advice regarding the appropriate use of medicines with the development of service specifications, service review of contracts, formulary management and prescribing guidance for the following local commissioned services: o Smoking cessation services o Sexual health services o Substance misuse services o Local influenza and COVID-19 Vaccine programmes o In-house Heath Visitors and School Nurses o Any commissioned or in-house service which the Public Health team would like to commission that is new and not existing, which benefits from specialist clinical advice.
