Notice Information
Notice Title
Supply of Escalator Handrail
Notice Description
TfL are undertaking early market engagement to identify the best route to market to obtain supply of Escalator Handrails across our fleet of escalators. The supply of these Escalator Handrails will be vital to TfL's planned and reactive escalator maintenance. This PIN is issued to commence early market engagement with the purpose of helping TfL identify and analyse options for our contract packaging and procurement strategy. We are seeking to engage with suppliers and manufacturers of escalator handrail. Suppliers interested in participating in this market engagement exercise are invited to confirm their interest and to provide a response to the Market Sounding Questionnaire (MSQ) provided. Responses to the MSQ will be used to assist TfL's understanding of the supply market's capacity, capabilities and delivery and contracting models. TfL may also invite suppliers to participate in further engagement and which may include an industry day and 1:1 meetings. Should we do so, details will be confirmed, and suppliers invited to participate via TfL's e-procurement portal. Suppliers should note that this does not mark the commencement of a formal procurement process; but solely market engagement to inform the development of our strategy. Market engagement will be conducted in an open manner and will in no way prejudice any future formal procurement process. Participation or non-participation in this market engagement exercise will neither advantage nor disadvantage any suppliers. Suppliers are though encouraged to engage, so that they can positively influence our procurement strategy. Suppliers are invited to register their interest in this early market engagement process by emailing Oliversmith1@tfl.gov.uk Suppliers will then be invited to completed the MSQ.
