Summary of the contracting process

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in collaboration with the Carbon and Energy Fund Ltd, has established a framework agreement for capable suppliers to provide low carbon energy-efficient infrastructure services in the UK. The tender, initiated as an award procedure without prior publication, involved high-quality award criteria such as Project Management Approach, Financial Response, and Social Value assessment. The procurement stage is at the awarding phase with a finalised status, active suppliers, and voluntary standstill period until 25th April 2024.

This public procurement opportunity presents potential for business growth to companies specialising in energy and related services, particularly those focusing on low carbon energy solutions and infrastructure improvements. Businesses adept in Project Management, Design and Construction, and Service Delivery approaches would be well-suited to compete. The geographical focus is on the UK market, with the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust acting as the main buying organisation driving this initiative towards sustainable and energy-efficient public sector facilities.
