Notice Title
Notice to follow Most Suitable Provider Process regarding Invitations to submit bids for development funding to support inpatient pathway transformation
Notice Description
This notice is to inform that BSMHFT are intending to follow the Most Suitable Provider Process in relation to invitations to bid for service developments and innovative projects which align with the priorities set out in the draft Birmingham and Solihull ICS 3 Year Strategic Plan for Mental Health Inpatient Services (including Rehabilitation and care for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism). The deadline for bids is close of play Monday 24th June 2024 Bids may cover any one or more of the elements of the pathway described below. However, we are particularly interested in bids related to community-based support leading to admission avoidance. Elements of the pathway for which we are seeking bids are as follows: * Admission Avoidance * Reducing length of stay for people who are admitted as inpatients. * Facilitating quicker discharge from hospital * Preventing readmission Each bid may be for up to a maximum value of PS200,000 for one year of operation of the project. It may be possible to extend the funding for some projects for a further year. However, any extension, would be subject to the availability of ongoing funding and evaluation of the impact against expectations set out in the bid, in the first year. The bids will need to demonstrate how they will lead to reduced inpatient bed use.
