Description of the services to be provided: Aims of the Service: To ensure an orthoptist led vision screening service for all eligible children aged between 4-5 years in reception across the 12 districts of Lancashire. To improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities by delivering the Child Vision Screening Service. To identify those children aged 4 to 5 years with impaired sight, enabling timely intervention and signposting. The Authority (Lancashire County Council) is intending to award the contract to the existing provider following Direct Award Process C . The approximate lifetime value of the contract is up to PS956,926. The intended contract dates are: Contract start date: 01/08/2024 Contract end date: 31/07/2029 The contract will have an initial term of three years, with the option to extend for up to a further two years.
