The objective of the wider project is to develop a requirements set and associated pre-conceptual design, for a microwave test facility. This test facility may include the ability to test any of the following: -Component level testing e.g. gyrotron cavity -High-powered gyrotrons -Novel source testing -Waveguide testing -Low power microwave testing -Launcher mechanical testing -Quasi-optical propagation testing The areas of primary interest for this opportunity are: -Microwave source testing -High-powered microwave component testing -Gyrotron cavity thermal test rig It is anticipated, subject to market engagement, that a maximum of 5 contracts will be awarded to parties with an interest in future use of such a facility. The estimated budget for each contract is between PS10,000 and PS20,000. This piece of work is required to be completed by the end of February 2025.
