NHS England (Midlands) is undertaking a market engagement exercise to gauge market interest in the provision of a Neurodiversity Support Service to deliver specialised support across the Midlands Health and Justice Services.

NHS England (Midlands) is undertaking a market engagement exercise to gauge market interest in the provision of a Neurodiversity Support Service to deliver specialised support across the Midlands Health and Justice Services. The expectation is for a provider/ providers to implement a service/ services consisting of practitioners with specialist knowledge and skills in neurodiverse health needs. The service/ services will act as central teams that provide advice, guidance and supervision to Health and Justice Teams across the Midlands. The service/services would need to demonstrate great relationship skills, coproduction and collaborative working. Examples of this support would include:

(a) Developing psychologically underpinned formulations
(b) Guidance on where to go for assessment
(c) Case consultation
(d) Advice on reasonable adjustments
(e) Advice on managing risk taking into account neurodivergence.
(f) Upskilling, support, and training staff within the justice system

A key element of the engagement exercise will be to ascertain the preferred lotting strategy of stakeholders, and how best this could be delivered. Whilst this will be a key focus at the engagement event, a questionnaire has been developed to scope initial preferences. The Commissioner will be holding Market Engagement event at 1300 hours on Thursday 25th July via MS TEAMS. If you wish to attend the event please complete the relevant part of the questionnaire, the closing date for the questionnaire is 12 noon on Monday 22nd July 2024 (invites to the Market Engagement event will be sent out following the closing date). The questionnaire also contains questions relating to the services advertised on which we are looking for feedback from potential providers.
