Provide additional targeted and accelerated support which can include pharmacological treatment, to key cohorts of people to enhance the number of quit dates, named but not limited to referrals from mental health services, substance misuse treatment and recovery services, for victims of domestic violence and contacts via the wider voluntary sector. To employ an additional coordinator to oversee the management, recruitment and programme delivery for specific targeted referrals. To employ additional stop smoking advisors to manage capacity for the increase in referrals. The aim will be to achieve a rise in quit dates set upward of approx. 500+ It is the intention of the Council to award this contract under the most suitable provider process. The lifetime of the project is for an initial period of 1 year. This is an enhancement of an existing service at it is anticipated that the service will be provided between 01.10.24 - 30.09.25. The lifetime value (1 year) of this contract is PS339,537

Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by midnight 17.09.24. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR. Representations can be sent to iain.mackie@bolton.gov.uk prior to the deadline above. Declarations of Conflict Forms were completed by all individuals involved in the decisions about the provider selection. No conflicts of interest were declared. The award decision makers are members of the Public Health Commissioning team.
