Summary of the contracting process

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has initiated the "Prevention Pilot" tender in the industry category of community, social, and personal services. This project aims to provide services to individuals who have recently attempted suicide, connecting them to various mental health services within Rotherham. The tender process followed an open procedure and the contract period starts on 1st April 2025, ending on 30th June 2026. Key deadlines included a final RFQ clarification by 27th September 2024 and submission by 7th October 2024. The pilot has a budget of £95,000 and has been awarded to Connect Healthcare Rotherham CIC as of 9th January 2025.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in mental health and social services to engage in meaningful work that can vastly improve community welfare. Companies with expertise in emotional resilience coaching, mental health assessment, and crisis intervention would find this project particularly suitable. It opens avenues for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) like Connect Healthcare Rotherham CIC to expand their operational footprint while addressing urgent public health issues. The procurement also underscores the potential for collaborative efforts between local healthcare providers and community organisations to enhance the overall quality of life and emotional resilience of vulnerable populations in Rotherham.
