***THIS NOTICE IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY***<br/><br/>NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of Birmingham Women and Children's NHS Foundation Trust, as Lead Provider of the West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative (https://toucanwestmids.nhs.uk/), are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers for the provision of an Eating Disorder (ED) Intensive Support at Home (ED-ISH) Service.<br/><br/>Contract Length is expected to be a maximum of 2 years (this is in line with the Lead Provider contract commissioned by NHSE).<br/><br/>The service must be located within the geography of the West Midlands.<br/><br/>The Commissioner intends to hold a market engagement event via MS Teams on 26th September 2024 at 09:30-11:00, and 30-minute 1:1 sessions on 01st October between 12:00 and 14:00 and 02nd October between 12:30 and 15:30. You will only be invited to a 1:1 session if you have attended the open forum event. Sessions will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. Interested parties should express an interest in attending by completing a short questionnaire which can be found on the Atamis Health Family portal (https://atamis-1928.my.site.com/s/Welcome and search for project C304103). A link to the event can be located within the Documents area of the Atamis project.<br/><br/>Please ensure you have registered your interest in attending the market engagement event by 25th September at 12 noon.

The WMCPC intends to commission Eating Disorder Intensive Home Support provision for children and young people within the West Midlands (aged 13-18) who require intensive mental health treatment to support discharge and step down from hospital.
The first 12 months of provision will focus on step down's from Specialist Eating Disorder Units whilst developing the admission avoidance element to be operational from year 2.
The service and provider will need to be registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide mental health services.
The indicative services aims are to:
* Support young people to receive timely and effective care in the least restrictive environment
* To enable re-feeding including NG feeding to be undertaken at home.
* Reduce lengths of stay within a Specialist Eating Disorder Unit
* Provide time-limited intensive intervention within the young person's home environment
* Be NICE Guideline (NG69) compliant
* Work alongside existing Community Eating Disorder Services, providing higher level of expertise and intensive intervention.
The proposed service model should cover the following minimum requirements (these may be subject to amendment due to concurrent development work):
* Service should focus on intensive support within the young person's home environment, with a range of therapeutic, evidence based treatment approaches deployed
* Interventions should be tailored to meet individual young person's and their family's needs at time of assessment
* Service should be operational seven days per week and provide support as appropriate into the young person's home and/or school setting, with the accepted young people having intervention(s) up to four times daily (as determined appropriate at time of assessment and formulated within their care plan
* Most interventions from the ED-ISH should aim for around 14 weeks of input, though length of time input required should be based on clinical need
* The ED-ISH should provide a highly structured programme of intensive support that combines education, therapy and support with meal times and meal planning.
* ED-ISH should also consider support to parents/carers and families of the young person, which may be undertaken separately to the intervention with the young person.
* The service should have capacity to provide intensive input up to four times daily for at least 14 weeks to between 5 and 8 young people at one time. Additional information: This is a new service model for Children and Young People's Intensive Mental Health Services (CYPIMHS), as such, the successful Provider is expected to be fully operational, providing services ideally from 1st January 2025, but at the latest from 1st April 2025.
The contract value is PS901,125 per annum (PS1,802,250 lifetime value)
The Contracting Authority will be using an eTendering system for this exercise.
