Summary of the contracting process

Westminster City Council is conducting a comprehensive public procurement process to establish the "WCC/RBKC Homecare and Reablement Framework" aimed at recommissioning domiciliary homecare services across Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. This procurement falls under the industry category of "Other community, social and personal services," with framework agreements structured across five lots. Interested providers are invited to take part in the "Meet the Buyer" event scheduled for 7th October 2024 via Microsoft Teams, providing valuable networking and insight opportunities. The tender process is active under the selective procurement method, utilising a restricted procedure in alignment with the Light Touch Regime. Companies must submit bids by 29th October 2024 at 12:00 PM to be considered.

This tender provides substantial opportunities for businesses within the health and social care sector, focusing on services that cater to diverse and complex needs, including neighbourhood homecare, spot purchasing, and specialised services such as hospital discharge assistance. It represents a multi-lot framework ideal for providers with a strong track record in delivering quality care at scale, encouraging participation from both large enterprises and SMEs. The framework facilitates long-term partnerships with potential extension to seven years, promoting stability and growth for suppliers who successfully secure a position on one or more lots. Providers poised for expansion and innovation in service delivery should consider competing for inclusion in this framework.
