Summary of the contracting process

Dorset Council is embarking on a market engagement for day opportunities and Individual Service Fund (ISF) services under the Dorset Care, Support, Housing and Community Safety Framework (DCF2), focusing on the Social Work and Related Services industry category. This procurement is currently in the planning stage, with critical participation details set for a market engagement meeting on 6th November at 10am, which will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams. Interested providers must email dayopportunities@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk to join. The procurement is anticipated to integrate aspects of Lot 25 and Lot 26, ultimately aiming to expand the options under the DCF2 framework, offering more choice and flexibility for service purchases within the region of Dorchester, UKK25.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses and community groups involved in social work, day opportunities, and related services to become a part of a transformative initiative directly benefiting residents in Dorset. Businesses that operate lunch clubs, fitness classes, art clubs, or any similar community-driven initiatives are well-suited to compete. By joining the DCF2 framework, businesses can expand their market reach and become eligible to bid in the further competition aimed at increasing the ISF provider list. The engagement with Dorset Council not only creates a platform for innovation in service offerings but also establishes a collaborative environment to explore potential partnerships and growth within the local care and support landscape.
