Prospective Tenderer's should note that this Procurement relates to the provision of services to all of FirstGroup's rail business divisions and Affiliates, current and future. Please note that the current SWR National Rail Contract is due to expire in May 2025 and the GWR National Rail Contract is due to expire in June 2025. The new government has indicated its intention to bring all Train Operating Company contracts back under public control as and when they expire, and legislation to enable this is currently working through the necessary stages. Any business division or Affiliate that is no longer under the control of FirstGroup will either be removed from this tender process and not awarded a contract or may be awarded a separate contract under the new entity. At the time of launching this procurement process there is no clarity on the timelines as to when the National Rail Contracted Train Operating Companies (TOCs) will transfer to Public Ownership. The Passenger Railways Services Bill is still in the final stages of the legislative process.",
