The contract, valued at £22,177,188, falls under the health services category and aims to deliver a comprehensive range of services, including health visiting, school nursing, and specialist community public health nurse services. The procurement was executed under the flexibilities of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Key dates include the commencement of the contract on 1st April 2025, with an initial period of four years and optional extensions up to 2029. The contract was officially awarded on 4th November 2024 following a standstill period from 23rd October 2024 to 1st November 2024.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses focused on health services, particularly those with specialisations in paediatric and adolescent health. Companies capable of delivering innovative, evidence-based preventative programmes, such as the Family Nurse Partnership, or peripatetic services like the Clinic in a Box for young people's sexual health, will find this contract particularly well-suited. SMEs involved in community health services, school nursing, and addressing social and health inequalities will be well-positioned to compete, provided they can demonstrate value, innovation, and a comprehensive delivery model.
