Notice Description

This completed foundational specification will be an extremely useful document for the CMS market as it will enable LAs to specify the requirements they need from their CMSs; clearly, quickly, and with confidence, saving time and reducing the risk aversion around CMS procurement. The greater consistency and standardisation this will create in the market will enable suppliers to access greater economies of scale and prioritise innovative development. Across both groups this specification will improve the functionality of CMSs as it promotes effective and proven system functionalities. As such we believe it is critical that we develop this Part 2 as quickly as possible so that we can provide both suppliers and LAs with critical system procurement and management guidance to begin shaping the future of this market.
