UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) is inviting tenders for the development of Aircraft Operations Safety Case for the British Antarctic Survey and FAAM Airborne Laboratory. This procurement, classified under CPV code 71317200 for health and safety services, falls within the services category. The project involves safety case development for various aircraft, including a BAE 146-301, multiple De-Havilland Canada aircraft, and a future DASH 8. The tender is being managed from the UKRI headquarters in Swindon, UK. The procurement stage is currently in the tender update phase, with a notable amendment adjusting the estimated contract value to £500,000 from an initial £600,000 and extending the tender submission time to 16:00 on 24 January 2025.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in health and safety services, particularly those with expertise in aircraft safety and operating in challenging environments such as the Antarctic. It is well-suited to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) looking to expand their portfolio by working with high-profile research institutions. Participants must meet the technical and economic selection criteria set forth by UKRI.
