Notice Description

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Intention to Award Notice following a competitive process for Berkshire West and South Oxfordshire Palliative and End of Life Care to NHS Buckinghamshire Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB (The Commissioner). The contract period is 1st January 2026 to 31st December 2032 for 7 years (option to extend for 3 years (to 31st December 2035)). The total contract value for this procurement is PS34,997,182 including VAT for the life of the contract (including extensions). The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decisions makers by midnight on 13 May 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.

Lot Information

Lot 1

The Expected Annual Contract Values shall be updated with effect from 1 January 2026 through to 31 December 2035 to reflect an additional payment of PS148,000 per annum in respect of drugs and hosiery costs. For the avoidance of doubt, this period includes the optional extension period, which is not automatic and shall apply only in the event that the ICB determines to extend the Contract.

Options: Option to extend for a further 3 years.

Renewal: Option to extend for a further 3 years (36 months at the sole discretion of the Commissioner). Maximum of a 10-year (120 month) contract duration.
