PRIOR INFORMATION NOTICE This is not a call for competition and is not yet a contract opportunity. ** PLEASE NOTE: By Expressing an Interest in this event via the portal you are not confirming your place at the event. Please follow the instructions below to reserve your place. ** Minor Adaptations in Somerset DPS The way we deliver Minor Adaptations Service in Somerset, is changing. We have a commissioning plan underway to have a new contracting process in place for this service from May 2025. Minor adaptations are defined in the Care Act 2014 as home adaptations costing PS1,000 or less. Minor adaptations are not means-tested, individuals who are 'prescribed' minor adaptations receive them without any financial needs assessment. Adaptations include (but are not limited to): Rails and Steps Thresholds Doorways and Windows Adaptations Plumbing / Bathroom works Small electrical works As part of the re-commissioning plan, we want to ensure that the future service is meeting the needs of the people who are eligible for support, compliant with current legislation, fit for the future and delivers best value. Market Engagement Event A Market Engagement event will be held on the 12th February 2025 between 11am and 12pm. Somerset Council are inviting organisations that might be interested in delivering these services, either individually or in partnership with others, to attend. The event will be an opportunity to inform and shape future options. Somerset Council are keen to hear feedback from a range of providers as part of the wider consultation for this service. Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by Somerset Council to undertake a procurement procedure. Event Details: Date: 12th of February 2025 Time: 11am Venue: Online - Microsoft Teams meeting Event Registration: To attend this event please email tracie.bosher@somerset.gov.uk providing the name of your organisation, the name of the person(s) wishing to attend (Max 2 per organisation) and a contact email address for each to enable us to send through the full details of the event and the invitation to the Microsoft Teams meeting. Please ensure that those attending from your organisation are the most appropriate to feed into the discussions. Please respond by the deadline of 12:00pm on 10th February 2025 if you wish to attend. If you are unable to attend the event, the presentation, notes and associated documentation will be available through the e-tender system:https://supplierlive.proactisp2p.com Somerset Council reserves the right to cancel or re-arrange these events at its own discretion.
