Summary of the contracting process

The Department of Finance (DoF) - Construction and Procurement Delivery (CPD) has initiated the tender process for the "Pan Government Framework Agreement for Asbestos Services 2025". This tender, classified under "Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services", seeks to establish a framework for asbestos services including surveys, air sampling, and removal management for public sector organisations in Northern Ireland. The framework, divided into Lot 1 (Northern Area) and Lot 2 (Southern Area), is valued at £600,000 and will be awarded for a duration of up to four years. Interested suppliers must submit their tenders electronically via eTendersNI by 19 March 2025, with bid validity until 19 March 2026.

This framework presents substantial business growth opportunities for companies specialising in asbestos services, including environmental, consultancy, and removal operations. Ideal candidates are those with strong technical capabilities and financial stability, who can demonstrate compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations. As the framework aims to support the wider social, economic, and environmental objectives of the government, businesses that align with these goals and can handle either the Northern or Southern Area are encouraged to compete. The procurement method follows a restricted procedure, ensuring a competitive selection of the best-six suited economic operators for awarding the contract.
