Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the "Stable Glaucoma Service" is spearheaded by NHS North West London Integrated Care Board, focusing on health services within the London Borough of Brent. This service involves the ongoing monitoring and management of glaucoma patients, and the contract supports continuity from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2027. Following the Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023, the procurement process was a direct award with the contract valued at £1,300,000 excluding VAT. The award was confirmed on 3 November 2025, and services are expected to begin on 1 April 2025.

This procurement presents a business growth opportunity for those in the health services sector, particularly providers specialising in ophthalmology and patient care management. The contract was directly awarded to Circle Health Group Limited, highlighting the importance of maintaining service continuity and patient care standards. Companies already providing health services or looking to expand within the London area could find similar future opportunities if they can demonstrate a capacity for quality service delivery and continuity, as well as competitive pricing. The emphasis on clinical effectiveness and enhanced patient experience underscores the steady demand for experienced providers in the healthcare sector.
