"description": "The decision to award via the PSR (Provider Selection Regime) Direct award C was made by Jo Jordan and Beth Smith.
The Trust has decided to proceed with Direct Award Process C. this is due to there already being a signed SLA in place that the end users are happy with. The service will continue to be needed from Newcastle Upon Tyne Trust as advised from the centre manager.
The decision has also been made due to the other processes being unsuitable. Direct award A cannot be used as there are more than one supplier however Newcastle Upon Tyne Trust is the closest available supplier to provide which stops delays in results due to transport increasing patient outcomes.
Direct award B wasn't suitable as the patients aren't to be offered a rang of health care providers for the service.
Proposed by the service user to award to Newcastle for 3 years running from the current expiry date 31/03/2025",
