The current contracts are due to expire on 30th November 2024 so services beyond that date are not included in the current contract and the tender of services will not have been concluded prior to the contract expiry. There is a continued need for the services to satisfy the Council's duties under the Care Act 2014 so they are 'necessary'.",

It would be a significant administrative task to move the care packages over to new contracts in a short period of time including closing and reissuing purchase orders, as well as the commitment of social worker time that would be required to undertake each of these changes.
