S-Stock Passenger Seat Upgrade
Notice Description
TfL are procuring the design, manufacture and supply of circa 61,140 seats for the 'S-Stock' trains. The S-Stock fleet of trains comprises of the following lines on London Underground: - Metropolitan Line; - District Line; - Hammersmith and City Line; and - Circle Line. This contract for an estimated duration of 3 years with an option to extend for up to 24 months. In total there is a nominal 193 trains consisting of two variants, 'S8' (59 trains circa 360 seats each) and 'S7' (133 trains circa 304 seats each).

Options: There is an option in the proposed contract for storage facilities to meet the needs of TfL.
Renewal: It may be prudent to extend the contract by up to 24 months to allow for risks (known and unknown) to the project.
