Summary of the contracting process

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is commissioning short-break services for children and young people with disabilities and their families. The procurement covers health and social work services across Redcar and Cleveland. It is divided into four areas: clubs in local accessible venues, including after-school, weekend and holiday clubs; personalised individual support, usually delivered on a one-to-one basis or higher, in the family home or community; overnight support away from home in a registered venue or home; and other specialist community or outreach short-break services. Framework Re-opening: Framework for the provision of short breaks for children and young people with disabilities and their families. There are 4 lots as detailed below: - Lot 1: Clubs - Lot 2: Individual Support Services - Lot 3: Overnight Support Away from Home - Lot 4: Services in the Community Period of Framework: 01 April 2024 to 31 March 2028. This framework will remain open for new submissions throughout its contract term and new submissions will be evaluated every 6 months as detailed within the 'Schedule of Framework Openings' within the tender pack.

Lot Information

Clubs

Redcar and Cleveland commissioned clubs in local accessible venues identified by providers. Clubs may include but are not limited to after school clubs, weekend clubs and holiday clubs.

Individual Support Services

Individual Support Services that are personalised to meet an individual's needs and are usually provided as a solo service requiring 1:1 support or higher. Care and/or support can be provided in the family home or in the community.

Overnight Support Away from Home

Overnight support provided outside of the family home in a registered venue/home.

Services in the Community

Any community or outreach service that isn't covered in Lot 2 or 3 that could provide a specialist short break
