Notice Information
Notice Title
Residential Homes for Children and Young People
Notice Description
"Local homes for local children" Swindon Borough Council is seeking input from the market for the provision of a Residential Children's Home that would operate within a Strategic Partnership to ensure the best outcomes for our children and young people. This market assessment is to assist the Council in defining a specification and contract for the services of a Residential Children's Home in Swindon. Currently, the intention is that Swindon Borough Council will buy and own the initial property, which will be a large 4 bed property for 3 placements, aimed at 11-18-year-old children and young people. In terms of identifying the need of the placements, please presume the placements will have varying needs that will be appropriately matched with input from the provider's expertise on a case by case basis, thus ensuring all needs are met (from a current and incoming perspective). More properties may be required in the future and SBC wish to appoint a supplier who will be doing any future development In preparation for this, it is our intention to do a Soft Market Testing/Preliminary Market Engagement to review the current supply market. This advert relates to a proposed 'soft market testing' exercise only and is NOT a call for competition. Any contracts for services or supplies relating to this exercise may be subject to separate procurement processes in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 All participants in this event shall be responsible for their own costs (including third party costs) and the Contracting Authority shall have no liability to any participant. The purpose of this questionnaire is to gain intelligence on the supply market for Swindon Borough Council's requirements, including information that will help define the most appropriate structure, plan and budget for any potential competitive procurement exercise. The closing date for the return of the SMT questionnaire/application to the event is Wednesday 30th April at 5pm. For the avoidance of doubt, no information provided in response to this questionnaire will be used by the Council in assessing providers during any future procurement process.
