Summary of the contracting process

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has initiated an active procurement process for the framework titled "Provision of Insourced and Outsourced Clinical Services." This open procedure seeks to supplement patient care delivery across various medical and surgical specialties. The procurement spans several regions within the United Kingdom, including UKC, UKD, and others, under the healthcare services industry category. Critical dates include the tender period ending on 6th June 2025 and the expected award of the contract by 14th July 2025. The procurement method applied is compliant with specific Health Services Regulations, exempting it from certain procurement act regulations.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in medical and clinical services. Given the framework’s dual focus on insourced and outsourced services, it suits businesses that can deliver medical expertise on-site or from external facilities. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are notably encouraged to apply, as the procurement framework supports participation across these sectors. Successful bidders will benefit from a substantial contract value, and inclusion in this framework can lead to sustained business growth within the public healthcare domain.
