Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) has announced a public procurement opportunity in the health services industry category. This is a planning stage process for a pilot scheme titled "Community Pharmacies - NMS Plus Pilot." The scheme aims to deliver pharmacy services under the New Medicine Service Plus (NMS+) for Hypertension. The geographic focus is within the BNSSG ICB region. This notice serves as a Prior Information Notice (PIN), indicating an information-gathering exercise without a confirmed procurement process at this stage. Interested providers can express their interest via the Atamis e-procurement system, with further details to be available from 1st July 2025.

This tender offers significant business growth opportunities, particularly for community pharmacies already engaged in providing the New Medicine Service and other advanced services. The pilot is structured to financially support pharmacies up to £15 per consultation, with a potential revenue stream of £67500 across the six-month duration of the pilot. The procurement will facilitate pharmacies in the BNSSG area to innovate and expand their service offerings, impacting their community positively and enhancing their industry presence. Pharmacies keen to participate in progressive healthcare solutions and those with a solid groundwork in delivering advanced services are exceptionally well-situated to compete for this opportunity.
