Procurement Information

JISC is the UK's designated NREN, operating the JANET network under a government mandate to support UK research infrastructure. The technical requirements of the GridPP Tier-1 site depend on JANET's dedicated infrastructure and JISC's unique peering agreements with other European NRENs -- which cannot be replicated by commercial providers. Therefore, JISC is the only provider capable of delivering the connectivity to the necessary specifications.
