Notice Title

Park & Ride Ringo Parking Machines

Notice Description

Parking and Ride Machines at Thornhill and Oxford Parkway

Procurement Information

There are currently five Park and Ride sites in Oxford. Three of these sites and owned by Oxford City Council and the other two (Thornhill and Oxford Parkway) are owned by Oxfordshire County Council. Oxford Direct Services (ODS) manage and run the three sites with Oxford City Council. ODS currently enforce OCC sites using an ANPR system which is linked to the pay machines and RingGo. If OCC were to manage the sites and not use ODS, this would result in additional spend, resource and separate technology for the two Councils. Alternatively, if OCC kept ODS but used separate parking technology this again would be at a cost for the council. By keeping all sites consistent and using RingGo Ltd for the payment of parking at our own Park and Ride sites, it provides a wider benefit for the public who use it. They will only have to use one App for all sites and will not cause confusion as to how to pay for their parking at different sites.
